Prayer Vigil with the Youth

Lord Jesus Christ,
Brother, Friend and Redeemer of man,
look with love upon the young people gathered here
and open up for them the eternal fount of mercy
that springs from your open Heart on the Cross.
Docile to your call,
they have come to be with You and to adore You.

In fervent prayer
I consecrate them to your Heart,
so that, rooted and built on You,
they may always be Yours, in life and in death.
May they never be separated from You!

Give them a heart like Yours,
meek and humble,
so that they may always listen to Your voice
and to your commands,
so that they may fulfill your will
and may be, in the middle of the world,
praise of Your glory,
so that all men,
by seeing their works,
may give glory to the Father with whom You live
forever joyfully
in the unity of the Holy Spirit
forever and ever.
Amen.

Many a soul has been brought back to God. Many a dying person has been sent to God, many a child has been taught to love God, many a sick person has been comforted and taught to suffer for love of God, and above all the generous and self-sacrificing lives of our young Sisters must have given much reparation to the Sacred Heart.--And for all these, I beg you to thank God with me.
